Description
Experience Level: Entry
Hi,
I am working on a project and i have found a solution for the design but need help in writing how i come about to choose the best solution.
Initial Project brief was-
New system required to replace current excel spreadsheet used to track and trace keys and fobs
System requires to be user friendly
Has ability to produce reports on keys
Key Findings for our Project
System to Assign Keys/Fobs and track them
Reporting available
Who has which Key/Fob?
Which Keys/Fobs have been assigned out?
What is the current status of each Key/Fob?
User Friendly
Quick and Easy to show reports
Intuitive
Colour Scheme to match branding
Iterative Approach
Need to engage with Client and get feedback regularly during sprints
Our Approach was-
Continue using Excel Spreadsheet
Familiarity
Cumbersome
Easy to get out of control
Access Database
User Friendly
Report Friendly
So we used Microsoft Access database to deliver the project.
but i need help with is to write in very professional way-
Requirements Specification -
The Requirements Specification is a description of WHAT the delivered system should do, i.e. it should only specify the external behaviour of the system and should not be concerned with system design characteristics at this stage.
Since the document is to be customer-oriented, it should be written using natural language that a non-computer professional will understand. It may also include easy-to-understand diagrams.
The main sections that you will be required to include in your Requirements Specification should, at a minimum, include a list of prioritized functional and non-functional requirements.
Any more information needed- let me know.

Hello, will the program work in Excel, or will Excel and Access work together. The description is quite detailed. I have videos and samples of various Excel programs in my profile. Fully automatic and fast running Excel programs with minimal data input. I can bid if you think the same concept is appropriate. But the minimum wage is £ 500
