Researcher for political communication projects

I am looking for an assistant to perform basic- intermediate research tasks for a period of about three months with an opportunity to extend if successful. The contract includes multiple, small sub-projects in both US contexts and global contexts. You will work around fifteen hours per week. I am willing to increase your hours and workload based on your performance. Working hours can be flexible but check-ins are daily (or every couple of days) and task deadlines are set in stone.

Your tasks will include:
1. Conducting basic research on media outlets within targeted US districts. I will provide a template outlining exactly what info I need. You will need a VPN to access some US media outlet websites. This information will prepare me for buying political advertisements.

2. Conducting basic- intermediate level research on journalists and news articles surrounding specific topics related to democracy and improving politics. This is global minded research. You should be aware of and savvy with news databases and other methods of finding this information. I can not provide a step-by-step of where to look. Depending on your skill level, you may also provide some basic writing angles for my newsletter or first drafts of my social media posts.
