Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Num. of words: 3- 4 hours of videos per month
Topic: various
Tone: Other
Extensive research needed: no
Extra notes: We need to check the videos for the learners of English and we're looking for a good proofreader to catch occasional mistakes, if any, and inform us about them and advise how they should be corrected.
The peculiarity is that you will need to watch videos and pay attention to (and basically read) the texts written on the screen (these are titles, subtitles). You'll need to tell us if there are any mistakes and we'll technically correct them by ourselves.
We have rather large amount of work every month - around 3-4 hours of video that needs to be checked. We can send the videos by portions, of course. We would be looking for one or two proofreaders to collaborate on a long-term basis. The candidates need to be native British English speakers with a trained eye for mistakes.
Here is an example of one of our programmes http://english-club.tv/index.php/shows/watch/city-grammar - as a trial task - could you please watch it (maybe at least a half of the episode) and along with your application let us know if you see the mistake(s)?
Please let me know what you think of this type of job and if/when you are ready to start.
