Academic Editor Needed for Scientific Manuscripts

We seek an experienced academic editor to provide manuscript editing and review services for scientific research papers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences or a related field, with a graduate degree and past experience editing journal articles or scholarly manuscripts.

Duties will include copyediting to ensure clarity, consistency and proper scientific writing style and format based on targeted journal guidelines. The editor should be able to evaluate content accuracy from a subject matter perspective. Manuscripts may cover topics in biology, chemistry, medicine and other health sciences. International authors will be served, so an eye for transcultural issues is preferable.

Approximately 5-10 manuscripts ranging from 5,000-10,000 words each will be assigned monthly on a project basis. Turnaround time of 1-2 weeks is expected, depending on the manuscript length and complexity. The editor will review content, check references and tables, enhance readability and proper use of the English language. Feedback will be provided to authors detailing any issues, recommended changes and approval for submission.

Candidates must demonstrate top-notch attention to detail as well as strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
