E BOOK CREATION - How To Sell My Business
Objectives
1. To write an e-book with the title “How to Sell My Business (DIY) in a double dip recession”. The e-book is a result of consultation between myself and Frank Orr (Qualified Management Accountant for over 30 years and first hand experience of buying and selling businesses, helping many UK business owners with their exit strategies. He has also been at the head of organisations in the private sector with over 250 employees. This e-book will be written in the name of Frank Orr and the publishers as an industry authority expert.
The e-book will be written to uncover the following:
1. In times of recession, how can you sell your business in the UK market
2. Little known & short cut techniques, strategies, methods, and chronological step by step process. DIY (Do It Yourself) concept.
3. In simple sensory English language for the business owner who has little time
4. Using new technologies simplified mainly internet based – top level strategise on a DIY basis and leading onto our second book all about in depth internet strategies – at present the second book is not to be written
5. Massive pitfalls to avoid and covert tactics
The target market is business owners of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (from £25,000 in value up to £10M in value) who are thinking or want to sell their business/company. The market place to be researched is the UK and classed as “business transfer agents” and “business selling agents”. The two biggest portals are www.businessesforsale.com and www.daltonsbusiness.com. We will provide a list of some company’s sites to be researched.
2. The aim is to research the market, look to produce content on each chapter. Further research resources will be supplied. Successful phase 1 candidates will need to produce a paid chapter for submission. We will pay the candidates to produce a single chapter. Those who pass this stage will be interviewed via Skype or telephone.
3. Once each e-book has been successfully completed on-going work will include production of:
1. Internet articles
2. reports
3. blogs – content for daily and weekly blog – SEO
4. video two minute clips with written content
5. email (step by step actions) marketing system content for weekly/monthly broadcast
6. webinars
7. social media - twitter, face book, etc., content for regular dispatch
8. presentations
9. etc
Future on going work to the successful applicant will also include production of further e-books (and resources). E-books in the pipeline are “How to buy a business” and “How to maximise the selling price of your business with low cost strategies in a recession”.
Job description
We are looking for writers with the following attributes:
1. Experience of writing business e-books or articles in a compelling manner engaging the reader with sensory style of writing. Inspiring the reader with light bulb moments and a call to action.
2. Through research in the topic of selling a business and maintaining originality
3. Working to tight deadlines
4. Verifying the factual content of written work
5. Submitting material for publication in the required and expected format
6. Re-writing and adapting material (and sometimes the work of others). No plagiarism in all work.
7. Ghost writing - writing for others under the other person’s name i.e. Frank Orr
8. Exercising self-discipline and time management to organise writing
9. Encouraging and acting upon critical feedback in the most appropriate manner
10. Being prepared to rewrite and revise work (often several times) following feedback
11. regular reports and communications via email

A suggested chapter list is available; however, it is only a guide. A list of recourses will be given. A budget will be supplied to buy suggested books.

For the e-BOOK:
1. Write Chapters: Chapters based on the Top problems/questions or tips for this topic, plus an intro chapter and a summary at the end of each chapter. Each chapter should be at least 4-5 pages in length.
2. Produce a project Plan for production each e-book: A project plan with timescales and with tasks (including titles of chapters and all other important content).
3. The e book is to be written with a chronological time line and a fixed budget. Its also to contain all references, diagrams, tool kits and checklists/workbook and important documents to create interaction as a highly useful resource
