Professional writers for introductions to literary classics -- Dickens and Conan Doyle

We are an established publishing project company with twenty years' experience of working with a range of publishers.

For one of our publisher clients we are preparing new illustrated editions of Dicken's Oliver Twist, and Christmas Carol and other Stories, and two volumes of Sherlock Holmes, and need to find writers who can write knowledgable and engaging introductions on specific aspects of one or more of these volumes.

We would normally go through academic and learned society channels, but these are fasttrack projects which need delivery of ms within 6-8 weeks. Each introduction needs to be 3-3.5k words, and we pay at a flat rate of £100/1000 words; copyright remains with the author.
