Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
We're looking for a creative writer to generate some humorous content that we will incorporate into an online training course.
We're building a training course on web security, and this will feature some interactive labs representing "real-world" sites, like blogs, shopping, chat room etc. We'd like to liven up the content by incorporating some original content that is funny. Depending on the site we're emulating, this might include blog posts, comments, product descriptions, names of people, etc.
Apple did something similar with Siri. They identified a lot of funny or unusual questions that people ask Siri, and actually hired a team of comedy writers to create witty replies that Siri now makes when people ask those things.
The audience is techies, so one type of humor that would work is nerdy wordplay, a bit like some Simpsons jokes. Also, the type of satire found on the Onion. But the content itself doesn't need to be technical or about any particular subject matter. It can really be about any topic at all that people would find funny,
Our content will be written exclusively in English, but our audience is global, so content needs to work for people of any geography or background.
