Hello,
I'm looking for a writer who can take the storyline of Romeo and Juliet and turn it into a short story for 14-16 yr olds. It needs to be fun and entertaining, and some of the most famous quotations must be included in a way that will enable the reader to recall them easily. It should be 600 + words - whatever you feel comfortable with for the price and ensuring an excellent piece of writing. I am looking at a fairly quick turnaround for this, please.
Please include samples of any children's stories you have written with your proposal.

Is your budget fixed at £25? That represents just over an hour's work for me. I have a degree in English Lit but would struggle to produce anything like you have described in that time frame. The writer would have to plan the story, revise the original play and choose significant quotes, then write it. Several hours' work there I would say.
