Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am looking for 500 word articles on a variety of experience days. Experience days are opportunities to do something once-in-a-lifetime such as skydiving, racing supercars and much more.
I require in the region of 100 to 150 articles of 500 words about a particular genre of experience day. I use two reference points and these are http://www.buyagift.co.uk/ and http://www.redletterdays.co.uk .
I am looking for a 500 word article on a particular experience day or a range of experience days on offer at these retailers (e.g. Segway rally). As each supplier and experience day is slightly different you would need to write at a general level (e.g. “Your day typically starts….”).
Each article would generally follow this structure:
[+] Introductory section, creating a buzz about the experience
[+] A typical experience (explain what usually happens)
[+] Reasons to do this (emotional reasons why this is amazing)
Experience days are usually given as gifts so you need to write about what “the recipient” can do rather than “you can do this…”.
I am after witty copy, that is tongue-in-cheek but clean, safe and trustworthy. Examples of styles of writing I would like to emulate include http://www.vat19.com/dvds/26-pound-party-gummy-bear.cfm , http://wish.co.uk/romantic-break-for-three/ and http://www.firebox.com/product/4468/Make-Your-Own-Chocolate-Pizza-Kit . In all instances the copy is humorous, witty, personal and friendly. None of them overstep the mark which is a danger when writing witty copy and something I would rather avoid.
Reviews need to be well-paragraphed and easy to read. They should use UK English spelling and should be grammatically correct. Reviews should be emailed ideally in Microsoft Word .docx format (or .doc format).
I will be reviewing each review and will be making various editorial changes so you need not worry about optimising your copy. All I am after is a witty, friendly and personal tone that is authoritative, factual and trustworthy.
I would invite quotes based on writing ONE ARTICLE which can then be multiplied up to the total number of articles required going forward. PLEASE QUOTE FOR ONE 500 WORD ARTICLE.
With regards to time-scale, this project would not start until the second week of April 2012 and I would be looking for a delivery rate of AT LEAST 3 articles a week until completion.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
