Description
Experience Level: Expert
Do you know Strunk & White ? If so, then you may also be familiar with their bastard son with ginger hair called " The Economist Style Guide"
If I am talking gibberish then probably we are not a good match. Don't apply.( We English, on our tiny island, have strange habits after bouts of drinking tea and beer where a few of us - run around the room talking gobbledygook till it feels like a mega-crowd)
If I haven't lost you then please read on.
I am building a site that talks about the movers and shakers in the business world.
If you browse the internet a lot you will realise how much bbbaaddd writing is out there and how pitifully painful it is. Well we can agree that individuals of myth and magic that know the power and influence that accompanies mastery over simple ink and paper are much needed. Almost more than puppy yearns a second tail !
Enough tallking about something that everyone agrees upon. What has this got with you ? Yes You. You probably thinking is this a serious job ? It's both funtastic
and serios, yes that wasn't a typo.
I am recruiting you to write for me. But only if you are confident you have what it takes.
I have 100 yes you heard me right 100 profiles of CEOs of companies that need to be researched and written. Everyone from the CEO of Microsoft whose system you are using (Even though I prefer macs) to the CEO of the honorable Peopleperhour the person whose platform we are currently using.
Go on take a look at the site where your hard work will be displayed at :
http://www.worldofceos.com/dossiers
Furthermore our friends at the Daily Telegraph wrote a piece about us you can read about it at:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/world-of-ceos/9830036/One-in-10-UK-CEOs-has-over-20-years-experience.html
For research I will be giving you acces to the following online publications
1-The Wall Street Journal
2- The Financial Times
3- The Times And Sunday Times
4 - Fortune Magazine
5 - Inc.
Any good writer worth his salt knows that the battle for words is fought in the research not in the writing. (But you already know that don't you I need to stop patronising you)
So, I have attached three examples of what a completed profile looks like. To make things even easier for you I have also attached a style guide.
So pay attention; the recruitement process is as follows :-
1-) I will be recruiting 20 different writers each to write a single profile. You will get paid for that profile you write.
2-) Depending on how quick you write the profile and how much editing I will have to do. The list will be narrowed down to only 5 writers.
3-) Those 8 writers will have a Job till the end of February where the only ceiling is how much money they want to earn per a day. Our minimum is £24 another writer last week was averaging £60 dollars a day you will meet her if you make it to down the stage 2. (An average profile takes about 90 min to complete.)
I know, on People Per Hour there are many writing jobs that pay more. But they are not as cool. Or play 100% with their writers and treat them like human beings instead of an entry on an excel spreadsheet. Also give me a break I am a little guy with big dreams. A mammoth size budget isn't a luxury i have. (That will change soon though )
Nonetheless, the necessary requirements are that you first must be familiar with 37signals "Basecamp" and all the work submission starts and finishes on PeoplePerhour.com to protect both our interests.
Furthermore you must have an inkling about global modern business. And of course a love for an art that can't be learn't by keyboard and mouse. Rather the traditional way of ink and canvass.
Enough with the rambling.
You have a valuable skill and I have some coin lets exchange. And you will get the good review that you deserve; you can notch that on your belt.
"12 profiles a week for £12 each for a fortnights reach ! Are You Game ? "
Reply to this email with the header: " I have February Earning Targets "
Show me samples of work you have done. If you don't have samples that's fine. One Line.
" Impress Me"
Who knows maybe you are the cream that rises to the top.
See you on the other side
