Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Who are we?
We are a new way of learning and we are looking for people to help us in our quest to revolutionise secondary education. We need your input to make us everything it can be. If you’re passionate about giving students an engaging and interactive experience, we need your help to make us the first stop for new and exciting Science content. Our aim is not only to provide support for the syllabus but to provide supplementary lessons for pupils of all abilities - those who want to take a step back and refresh the basics to those who want to speed ahead.
What are we looking to do?
We are always looking to add new and innovative ways of delivering our education content to our pupils. Therefore our Content Writers are the hub of our team.
We are currently looking to develop an engaging and interactive online learning experience to our pupil users. The learning will be delivered through 'lesson' pages that will give pupils access to more than just a regular textbook: our lessons will have graphically-designed images, sourced videos, interactive games, experiment ideas, worked problems, questions in addition to the necessary text.
The content is ordered in modules and typically you will be working on one topic of each module at a time, making it truly engaging for our pupils by adding media, quizzes, games and anything else which you tell us you need!
Our initial focus is the core Science GCSE, specifically the Biology and Chemistry units. As we are nearing completion of the GCSE Physics content, we are now looking to produce AS/A-level material.
Who are we looking for?
Currently, we are looking for people with a Science background, or more specifically an understanding of teaching to at least KS4 level (age 16) and preferably in the UK. We are not just looking for experienced teachers but also those that are just starting or yet to start a career in secondary school education. Even if you are a part-time tutor, write science articles or just have an interest in Science, you will be well-suited as a Content Writer.
It would be an advantage if you have a portfolio of lessons, examples of previous work and/or a web presence (such as a blog).
How will it work?
Depending on what time you can commit and your comfort level, we can arrange to give you a small or large part of the syllabus to work on. Of course we won't throw you in at the deep end and so we will work with you to ensure you are comfortable with the eduvee back-end platform, the content structure and our requirements before you get going. At each step of the way we can offer feedback to guide you and even a trial section before you make any commitments.
Soon enough as a Content Writer, you will be involved in producing exciting and high-quality lessons for eduvee with full recognition.
When can I work?
We are looking to have the content developed as soon as possible before the new school year and we would love our Content Writers to be available as much as they can be: this could be evenings, weekends, a few days a week or even on a full-time basis.
What will we provide?
• A highly focused and motivated team who will give you the freedom to run with your ideas.
• A team of developers and illustrators who can turn your lesson ideas into reality in the matter of days.
• Competitive rate, based on your experience and quality.
• Flexible working hours and remote working.
• The chance to do meaningful work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where your opinions are valued and can truly revolutionise education.
Please bid if you would like to be part of our Content Writer team.
