I am looking for a talented writer. Someone who I can give an outline and brief description of what I am looking for and then away and do the job.
I am open to varied writing styles, it can be formal, upbeat, punchy etc, as you long as you have the ability to engage and captivate the audience. I DON’T want boring writing.
Please see below what I am looking for.
• I need articles written for my blog on nutritional information and health benefits of various tropical foods such as, coconut oil, cassava, yam, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, ginger, lemongrass, tamarind, plantains etc.
• My blog is focused on West African foods so you will on many occasions write on topics you are perhaps not familiar with or where there may be limited research e.g. yams, cassava leaves, baobab, egusi etc.
• I will require research from credible sources including where necessary a scientific abstract/summary. As well as a full bibliography, references need to be included within the article where an information is not common knowledge.
• I will also require info on the nutritional profile of foods and some general info relating to the particular foods. E.g. parts of the world that they are grown, history of the food, how they are generally eaten and so on.
Skills
• Your understanding of science and nutrition and your ability to explain everyday scientific terms (e.g. antioxidants, regulation of blood pressure, etc) in layman’s terms needs to be top notch.
• A good understanding of nutrition and science
• A good content writer with the ability to engage and captivate the audience
My articles are on tend to be between 1,000 to 1,500 words but can be less or more depending on the topic.
