Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are an online accountancy firm (The Accountancy Partnership) looking to grow our pool of remote working freelance content writers.
Our content needs include highly technical accounting and financial services topics. It's critical that these are explained in a way which is straightforward and easy to understand by small business owners who may have limited knowledge of industry jargon. Our articles don't assume any prior accounting knowledge, and set out to make the subjects covered more accessible.
You'll be asked to consider blog topics on an adhoc basis, though the regularity of these might increase as we continue to grow. We'll ask you to quote for each brief, though it would be useful if you could provide your typical rates when showing interest in the post.
You'll need to be confident writing about technical accounting topics, such as VAT and tax, in a way which any reader can understand.
You must be a solid researcher, able to write about topics in a way which provides well-balanced information to readers, from a range of highly-reliable resources - not just a rewrite of HMRC. Information must be correct, compliant, easy to follow, and genuinely useful for our audience.
We set out to provide clear, concise information which covers all angles without bias.
We pride ourselves on providing a refreshing alternative to stuffy accountants and unapproachable finance professionals. Our tone isn't stuffy, it's friendly and knowledgeable without being patronising.
