Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
Num. of words: 100 - 150 per attraction
Information for the blog/website: Days Out with Kids website
Tone: Formal/Professional
Outline & Structure: We are currently developing a website that requires a Description re-writer - the website will be a directory for attractions and landmarks in the UK, and will launch for the North West of England, which has about 500 attractions in the region.
I might consider splitting this job into 125 x 4 to get the job done quicker for £150 each.
We have two main competitors who have already written their attraction descriptions (usually a few short paragraphs around 100-150 words), so the purpose of this job is to use these descriptions and completely re-write them for our website.
In order to be successful, the descriptions MUST BE UNIQUE - any copying and pasting or simply changing a few words will not be accepted. Decent re-writers should be able to read a paragraph and re-write it as their own.
This is potentially a long term job beyond the 500 descriptions we need - once we go live, we will be adding more regions to the website which will include over 6,000 attractions.
In summary this is what is involved:
1) Visit the 2 competitor websites to find the descriptions of the attraction you are writing for.
2) Take the paragraphs and read them thoroughly.
3) Re-write the descriptions in your own words, making them completely unique.
4) If the descriptions on the competitor sites don't exist, use the official attraction website (which will be supplied to you) to research.
We will ask for you to write a sample as an example, then will start you off with about 10 or 20 to do. The job is urgent.
