Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Num. of articles: Ongoing
Words per article: 2000 approx
Information for the blog/website: Information for WordPress users.
Industry: Internet/Software
Topic: WordPress in relation to Blogging, web designs, freelancing, and development.
Tone: Informal/Casual
Outline & Structure: I am looking for a high quality writer and blogger who can write about WordPress on a ghostwriter basis.
Writers will be paid by the word and article lengths will range from around 1000 to 2000 words and beyond.
Please let me know how much you would charge per word in USD. For example 5 cents per word.
The brief: I write for a number of high quality blogs that cover WordPress. I would like to hire someone to ghostwrite some of my articles for me.
The blog posts are aimed at WordPress users of all levels. Typical posts include tutorials, guides, reviews, and news. Posts giving advice for bloggers and freelancers working with WordPress is also welcome.
As you’ll be writing in detail about WordPress, you’ll need a good working knowledge of WordPress.org, rather than just a basic idea of how to use it. The type of content we expect you to cover includes articles on WordPress themes, plugins, strategies, and general tutorials.
To get an idea of what sort of content I am looking for, please check out blogs like:
• Elegant Themes
• WP Explorer
• WPMU DEV
This is an ongoing assignment, and we’re looking to form a long-term working relationship with the right person/people.
Punctuality is just as important as expertise, and it’s important that you stick to the deadlines given. If you can’t meet a deadline, try to give as much notice as possible so we can make alternative arrangements.
Because of the somewhat technical nature of the topic, we can only accept applications with relevant samples. Any WordPress samples would be ideal, especially if it's published on an external website. We will also consider applications with samples on closely related topics, such as Internet marketing, eCommerce, web design, etc.
In order to provide consistently great content, we require applicants who are able to produce creative article ideas around WordPress – this is where a good knowledge of WordPress.org will really come in handy!
To support your application and give us an understanding of your expertise, please include 3-4 post ideas, including brief summaries. This will be an important part of the workflow, as the better your proposals, the quicker we can assign work to you.
We’ll be looking to run a trial period initially – fully paid, of course – to make sure we work well together. If the trial goes well, we’d like to make the arrangement permanent.
It’s really important that all work is thoroughly researched, but we can give you some direction and best practices as we progress. If you accept a piece of work and we agree on a deadline, that deadline must, must, must be met, though! The work must pass plagiarism tests, too (obviously!).
Thanks for your applications and I look forward to working with you!
When applying, please tell me what your favourite WordPress theme is.
Extensive research needed: no
Extra notes: Please include 3-4 post ideas, including brief summaries that would be suitable for blogs like Elegant Themes or WPMU.
