Description
I’m looking for a team of copywriters with strong English skills to help support my new project, ideally based in the UK.
More background below:
- This would be recurring work (for the right person/s). I'm looking for 10 in-depth articles per week for at least the next six months.
- Strong, proven English skills are a must (admittedly I can be quite picky when it comes to content). All articles will need to be in UK-English.
- Each article would need to be of very high quality, with a high word count per article (usually ~2k words per article). I would stipulate the desired word count in each brief.
- Content for these articles will generally be sourced from online product descriptions, reviews and existing content, although it would obviously need to be 100% unique copy. For the right applicants, I will elaborate on how this works further with examples.
- Unique content is really important to me and I check all submitted articles for duplicate content using Copyscape.
- The content topics are usually gardening-focused (think shed paint, fence posts etc.) but not usually difficult to write about. I would send over a title, sub-headings and any product URL’s I’d like to review as part of each weekly brief.
- Experience in the home & gardening niche is not necessary but preferred. If you have any examples of relevant articles you’ve written in the past, please include these in your application.
- Ideally, I'm looking to agree on a set rate per 1,000 words with each copywriter. With previous projects I’ve been happy to pay £30 per 1,000 words, provided the quality is right. I have high monthly budgets for content but also need a significant output in terms of # of articles.
In your application, please include links to your website portfolio and/or relevant examples of work you've carried out previously.
Happy to answer any questions you might have.
Thanks,
Tom

£30! Okay, i'm sure you're at the bottom end of the market. Rate's need a refresh if you genuinely want quality.
Thomas O.08 Jul 2019I've worked at those rates on previous projects and never had an issue with quality. Unfortunately I have strict restrictions on budget given the current relative income of my websites, which is something that can't be overcome. If these rates are too low for you then I'd advise you look elsewhere.

You say you want 10 X in-depth articles per week of 2,000 words each - average. How/when will you provide these? Each day, making it difficult for us to undertake other work, or all 10 for the week allowing us to sort out the time to complete this? Maybe even 40 for the month in advance? This all makes a big difference. Thank you.
Thomas O.08 Jul 2019Given the number of responses I'm probably looking at working with multiple freelancers. The briefs will be assigned on a set day of the week (eg. Monday) and due for completion later that week (eg. Saturday).
