Content writers wanted for print publication

We are looking for a creative writers to join our editorial team on a freelance basis. The job will include writing interview style articles with a focus on the human interest story behind tech startups, small and established businesses, thought leaders and philanthropists.

Categories/topics we require writers for immediately:
Self Development
Politics/Current Events
Education
Mental Health
Health & Well being

The main part of your work will focus on creating an engaging introductions to the article. For this you will be provided with an already filled in questionnaire completed by the client to give you a better understand of who they are. The rest of the article will consist of the questions and answers provided as well a final "about" footnote at the end of the article.

Here you may need to (depending on the content):
Rephrase questions to better match the answer and/or rephrase the answers to give clearer context.
Rephrase sentences so they are clear (sometimes necessary if the client speaks English as a second language)
Omit sections which either do not fit or are irrelevant to the question/article as a whole.

Finally the article needs to be checked for spelling and grammar.

Each article will be either 800 or 1100 words (approx) and we will confirm this on a per article basis.
One round of revisions (based on client feedback) is also required.

We expect each article to take between 45 minutes to an hour complete for an experienced writer. Depending on your availability and turn around time we can send you several articles per week.

We are looking to create an ongoing relationship with successful applicants and develop more permanent roles. Ideally we will look to match writers with subjects they understand or have a passion for. For example, tech, science, business, politics etc. Additionally jobs may also include writing original pieces for our editorial content on request (priced separately).


Applicants should submit examples of previous work and existing examples of working on publications is ideal (although not necessary).
