ARTICLE WRITER For YouTube channel | CREATIVE WRITING

We’re looking for a native English script writer to write topics for our YouTube channel. Before we get into the responsibilities and what the task actually looks like, it’s best to take a moment and explain what a script writer does.

You will be writing about various and interesting topics. You never know what you will be writing about from one day to the next. It could be about animals, or it could be about food, or maybe you will write about cars. It is VERY important to understand that what you write will be read by a narrator, and so the audience will hear what you’ve written word for word. Script writing is interesting story-telling, not writing some boring blog with no personality that will put people to sleep. If you can put some humor or personality into the scripts, then that is a plus! The greatest thing about this job (?) is that you get complete satisfaction in seeing your work completed as it goes to narrator, then to video editor, then live on the channel. You’ll be famous, and so good story-telling is quite necessary. Do you think you have what it takes? Then read on…

When you get a script from us, all the topics we want to see written about will have their name and a link to the information, so the research is mostly done. There are some times where you might have to reach out on your own for more information. We hope you know how to ‘Google’. Each script will have 10-15 topics. You will write between 180-200 words of interesting content with all the main facts for each one. Each script needs to be between 1800 and 2000 words minimum. No boring fluff words… we’re not in the business of putting people to sleep. We want our viewers to say ‘WOW! That’s cool!’

So if you think you can handle an awesome job learning and writing about totally cool and awesome things, then go ahead and apply. But be warned: Our editor is an English language Pit Bull and you need to be on the top of your English game.
