A 550 word article on personal finance

I need a 550-600 word article written on consumer finance. This won't be published until July so not too topical, but favourite is anything to do with money saving or dealing with debt. I would consider a piece on how to deal with a mortgage shortfall but other suggestions are welcome. I need this asap.

This is for print so the piece does not need to be written to be SEO friendly. I'd prefer a lively and friendly writing style rather than overly formal.
