Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are looking for a series of 7 articles written on developing apps for smartphones/tablets. The 7 articles are listed below with thoughts on what they should cover. Of course, these are just thoughts and we will leave it to the writer to shape the articles. We are looking for someone who has a good track record, has excellent English skills, is professional and timely. This would suit a writer who has a technological background and knows about developing apps. However good writers who have good research skills should find the articles not overly difficult.
While we would prefer one author to do all of them, we would consider proposals for any number of the articles from writers who have a particular interest/specialty in only some of them.
1. why apps can be good for existing businesses i.e., demonstration, purchasing, marketing, referring to real life examples
2. how apps can generate revenue, i.e., being available for sale on the app store, through advertising revenue, through supporting an existing business, etc.
3. steps in developing apps (i.e., concept, planning, user interface development, backend, cloud connectivity, programming, marketing, ongoing support)
4. size of market for different platforms (i.e., how many apps for iOS, Android, BB, Windows) how much money app developers make on average.
5. why user interface is important and factors that make good user interface (i.e., clear, uses symbols people are familiar with, is responsive and intuitive, etc).
6. good programming techniques, i.e. developers who input on the planning stage, comment on scope of work, set realistic timeframes, document their code, etc.)
7. why using cheap overseas developers can be bad for business (i.e., language and cultural barriers, potential for code to be of poor quality and unsupported, pirating concerns, etc.)
We would lie the articles to be written over a week to 10 day period.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Richard
