Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
I am looking for a profession write to help write an industry perspective report on the UK Insurance market, specifically to the importance of Data.
This will be entitled something similar to - The Data Driven Insurer.
This will be a report read by Insurance executives, to give them a view of
- the challenges (they will mostly know this)
- the opportunity and value of becoming Data Driven
- What the market pioneers are doing (who is leading the way and how)
- What are the key themes for an Insurer to focus on to deliver a competitive advantage
The report will be read by Industry experts across all types of Insurance - Life, General (house, motor etc), Specialist, re Insurance. the one thing they all have in common - they do not make and sell physical products.... they are already Data driven companies. But their date is not joined up, clean, trusted and readily accessible - so they spend lots of time trying to replicate the data so they have a single view...... then they acquire another company or implement a new system....
The report is not selling a product, it is intended to be an interesting read, a useful asset for an exec to engage and discuss strategy, a guide to some best practises.
But mainly, this will be used by my company to better understand the challenges and language used by Insurers - so we can engage and sell them a solution.
So the report must be
- Factual and link to quoted sources
- Use Insurance language not generic terms (for example Insurers have policy holders - not customers, Claims and Policy systems, their data scientists are called Actuaries and Underwriters ... etc)
- The report should cover (not limited to) -industry data statistics -Challenges for Insurers -the Value of trusted data readily assessable -Innovative use cases -use some of the compelling story from https://www.tibco.com/customers/reinsurance-company
Sources to consider for research
- Insurance company press releases
- Industry body thought leadership - such as the Association of British Insurers
- Global System Integration companies such as Accenture, Deloitte and Cap Gemini
Length of report - 3,000 - 4,000 words - around 6-8 pages of A4
Time frame - approximately - Agree Structure within 1 day, review first draft 5 days, final report 7 day
Budget - approximately £400....
Selection criteria - Experience of researching and writing this type of report + any Insurance experience?
Please let me know if you have any questions?
