Press Releases - Press interviews and media exposure

My first children's picture book Crazy Crab is being released on 22nd August and I am looking for an experienced publicist to help me promote my book and my visit to the US. I will also be attending the Orange County Children's Book Festival as a guest speaker on 1st October and would like to have interviews or media appearances lined up for when I am in California for the festival. I am also planning on attending a festival on the east coast. I would like you to provide a quote for a 30 day campaign which would include 2 media releases and phone call follow ups to media/new outlets in TV, radio, magazine or newspaper. It doesn't matter how small the outlet is, I am happy to do interviews for college radio, community cable TV or local newspapers. I need to create some media momentum and exposure to impress literary agents when I organize meetings with them.
I guess the hook for getting media attention is that I am a very outgoing Australian children's author who signed his first two book deals in the same week. One book being released in the US and the other in the UK. So I will be a debut writer a rare two book deal bursting on to the scene dressed as a crab! Having an acting and performance background I am unlike a lot of other children's authors in that I am aiming to create brand recognition through my personality and humour as well as through my work.
I have a third book in the works and I hope to secure an agent in the US to help get a book deal with a larger publishing house. So any help in achieving this goal would also be greatly welcome.
