Preschool Moral Storybook Writer

I want to turn a simple, heartfelt moral lesson into a captivating picture-book for preschoolers (ages 3-5). The finished manuscript should be engaging when read aloud, age-appropriate in language, and short enough to hold a young child’s attention—think 500–700 words spread across roughly 12–14 spreads. The core of the story must be educational: the narrative should guide little listeners toward a clear moral takeaway without sounding preachy. I’m happy to supply the specific lesson once we start, but I’m counting on your creativity to weave it naturally into the plot, dialogue, and pacing. A warm, playful tone, rhythmic phrasing, and strong visual cues for future illustrations are essential. If you’ve written children’s books before, please share a sample or two so I can hear your voice. Once the story is approved, I’ll need a brief scene-by-scene illustration guide (one sentence per spread) so an artist can jump right in.
