Description
Experience Level: Entry
Objective: Clients email me jobs to complete. These jobs are received by email. This email is then coverted into a Wordpress post using the plugin Postie (https://wordpress.org/plugins/postie/). Currently they are public. I need these posts to be restricted to only those users who have logged in!!
Details:
My website lists "jobs" for me to take. These jobs are emailed to me from clients
Each "job" is presented as a post on my Wordpress website, automatically, using Postie.
I have used the Members plugin to create a role with the necessary permissions (https://wordpress.org/plugins/members/).
I have used Profile Builder Basic to restrict content (https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/profile-builder/).
HOWEVER, there is a problem between the Profile Builder restrict content functionality, and Postie.
Postie automatically posts the jobs (from email to the Posts page) - which is excellent!
However, Postie does *not* use the Profile Builder Content Restriction options as default (see images).
Because this post is now public, I logged onto my website and edited the post. I changed the settings (see images) and then it worked fine!! But how to make sure these essential settings are always "on"?
In essence, what I need is the following: for all new posts that come through the Postie plugin onto my Posts page.... to be restricted/unviewable to ANYONE unless they are logged in with the correct role. In order for this to happen, Posts being published automatically MUST have the Content Restriction options enabled below (see images), otherwise anyone can view the post!
I want these content restriction options switched on permanently, for any posts that come in. Is it possible?
I look forward to your reply,
Kind regards,
Jack
