Description
Experience Level: Entry
I am building an eLearning site (think mini Lynda.com) for a consultancy company who do a lot of web based training.
They will have multiple clients each with access to different courses.
The website also needs to have front end administration so that a client admin (group leader) can control who has access to what courses etc.
Currently I am running Wordpress with Boss Theme (Social Learner), LearnDash & Uncanny Groups plugin.
My current setup allows me to setup Groups (clients) to control access to courses while also giving front end administration, reporting etc. so that a group leader can add/remove users, create reports etc.
The issue is that when a user is added to a group they are auto enrolled on all courses in that group.
What I would like is a separate module that allows a group leader to allocate specific courses from within their group to specific users (maybe with a time limit i.e. must be completed within 30 days) via a front end interface that can be added to an admin page (ideally via shortcode).
I then need a group user to be able to view courses they have been allocated and view notifications of course allocations also in a front end interface.
I can then hide some of the standard LearnDash enrolment functionality to avoid any confusion.
It would make sense for email notifications to also be triggered when a course is allocated, I have been playing with BuddyPress and am considering also using that for user profiles so it would be good if Buddypress notifications could be utilised.
I consider myself quite strong at building WP websites by configuring multiple plugins and doing some basic modifications to functions.php, stylesheet etc. but this element is a little beyond my current capabilities and I can't find a ready made module out there to achieve it so some help would be appreciated.
