Description

Experience Level: Entry
Hi, we're looking for a web developer we can work with on an ongoing, as-and-when basis.

Some of the projects we'll ask you to work on include:

– Researching off-the-shelf Wordpress widgets to put into our site – modifying them with code if necessary and then testing them
– Linking PayPal payment buttons with our site
– Modifying buttons and PayPal shopping carts so the user experience is clear, isn't frustrating and links with email
– Developing a mobile friendly treasure hunt site (not an app) that communicates with a database to keep score
– Adding in forms that link to automatic downloads
– Adding social buttons to be duplicated across our static site and automatically with every new blog post
– Doing 301 redirects
– Seeing why a plug-and-play promo system suddenly stopped working on our site
– Making sure we're using the right server and understanding why the one we use currently crashes from time to time

As you can see, there are lots of different things to sort each week, some more complicated than others.

We need someone who has a day or so to help us each week. You can tell us which day you'll be working for us on, however we need to be able to rely on you and contact you when you say you'll be available.

When you respond, please:

– Share a link to sites you've worked on
– Say how long you've been coding for
– Tell me what your availability is like
– Say if there's anything from the list above that you won't be able to do
– Tell me whether you have any graphics experience too (we may ask you to produce banners and ads if so)

Thanks – looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Cate
