Description
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Description of every page/module: We have an existing website built on a custom CMS and want to move to WordPress, with standard plugins to enable greater functionality and scale.
We have a graphic designer who will provide the site layout in a PSD file with layers, so the selected developer will have to strictly follow the design specifications, and turn the visual design into a custom WordPress template for the website (though we don't mind if you use an existing template and modify it to exactly match our requirements to speed up the development and reduce price). Note that this PSD will only be made available to the developer who wins the bid and will not be shared during the proposal stage.
I hear very good things about WooCommerce plugin for WordPress, and most likely want to use that. However, if you have better options in mind, we're open to suggestions.
Description of requirements/features: As of now, we have over 20 regional websites, some in English, others in the local languages. Many of them have a country-specific domain, and some sit on a sub-domain within the same top-level domain. All websites pull information from one single database. When we add a product, we provide translations in each of the foreign languages for the name, description, etc. and we provide local prices. The regional sites are then set to automatically pull the correct language text and price and display them.
This structure needs to be maintained.
Products are divided into categories, and these should be easy to organise on the system. It would be nice to be able to display top-selling products, recently trending / hot products as well. Since the website is meant for wholesale, the system needs to be able to provide bulk pricing and order options (e.g. 1 for £10, 5 for £30, 10 for £50 etc.), and also needs to be able to impose minimum order quantities.
At the very minimum, the new system needs to be able to:
• Easily update/add products,
• Update descriptions,
• Update prices,
• Update images,
• Easily mark products as out of stock or back in stock - This is important.
• Integrate with WorldPay for payment.
We would prefer to have the development work hosted on our staging servers.
Note: Needless to say, the full website development will need to be responsive.
Extra notes: All communication for proposals must be on here only. Anyone who contacts me outside of PPH -
emails me directly, on LinkedIn, or asks for Skype may be immediately removed from this project. Skype will be used to communicate only with the selected developer once the project begins.

Hi Farhad. That's going to be extremely stressfull for WordPress. Essentially it's woocommerce, multisite, multilanguage and multicurrency. The first 3 work together asaik, adding the multicurrency might me an issue when keeping products in sync. If I can get clarification from the developer I'll quote. Thanks.
Farhad D.30 Jul 2017What clarification from which developer?
Stephen B.01 Aug 2017Would likely use Woocommerce Multisite. Need to know if it can handle multicurrency

Hi Farhad,
I just want to know roughly how many products you will be selling at first. I mean when you launch the site.
Also have you tried viewing demo of woo commerce backend in youtube etc.
Thanks.Farhad D.28 Jul 2017About 100-200 products total. And no, not seen the WooCommerce demo. Why do you ask?
Awardwinner 2.28 Jul 2017You need to understand how the woocommerce admin side looks, the front end of the site can be changed but the woocommerce admin panel cant be.
