Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
My client uses a default installation of the WP Job Manager plugin which contains 470 listings. The listings are for local places of interest - Restaurants, Beaches, Guest Houses etc.
Each listing contains the following data fields:
Description
Location Address & Postcode
Phone
Twitter
Tagline
Hours
Website URL
Expiry Date
Checkbox indicating whether it's a Paid Listing
1 - 10 photos.
We've setup a staging website with a new theme called MyListing. The MyListing theme also uses the WP Job Manager plugin however it is not compatible with the old theme so the listing data cannot be easily imported.
Attempts to export the data have been unsuccessful because data has been copied from Word and various websites but was not 'pasted as plain text'. It therefore contains redundant HTML code which breaks an exported CSV.
Our solution is to have each listing manually copied and pasted into the new website and its corresponding images attached. When data is pasted into the new site it must be 'pasted as plain text' so that redundant code is cleaned.
We are open to alternate methods if you think there is a better method.
This is a fixed price job for successful migration of all listings.
