Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
General information for the website: Blog
Description of requirements/features: I've got a bit of a problem with my blog. My site views OK, but any attempt to use the dashboard or add a post leads to this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage22/th/ef/in/thefinanceguy.co.uk/public_html/guyjest.com/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 668
It's apparently a fairly common problem. The Wordpress support website has quite a few topics on it (e.g. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/fatal-error-undefined-function-5) which include tips for downloading direct to the FTP or CPanel. I might be able to fumble through, but thought the language might be natural to you and less prone to me making errors :-)
My hosting is through 123-reg, so it would be really helpful and simplistic if you've worked with 123-reg (and obviously Wordpress) and I could give you my 123-reg and website login and have you take care of it for me.
One note - it didn't become an issue by us updating Wordpress to 4.1; I'm not sure what triggered it. But if as part of solving it, you are able to update my site to 4.1, that would be great.
I'm looking for a UK-based solution so we can speak on the phone if needed.
