Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: International Association
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of requirements/features: I need the Wordpress Events Manager (Pro) plugin extending to handle some custom pricing rules (this should be extended in such a way that future updates to the plugin will still work and will not overwrite the customisation)
We use the plugin to handle event bookings and payments. The events are listed and priced, with optional added extras to book for each event.
My client requires separate tax rules for customers based on a number of conditions, but only relating to certain elements of the booking.
What I need, is in the admin area:
* An area to set up tax settings - here we should be able to set a number of rules for tax (so, if the customer is from a specific country the tax is x amount, if the customer is VIES registered the tax is x amount, (in some cases the tax will be 0) etc - we should be able to set as many of these rules (and edit/delete them) as we want.
* For within each ticket creation form, for there to be a 'apply VAT/VIES tax rules' checkbox, so for the main ticket we can check the box to apply tax rules, but then for an extra we can set a price and VAT will not be applied.
In the front end of the website, the customer will have to (required) select which tax group they belong to (according to the rules set out by admin in step one above.
The VAT will then be applied to any prices set that admin has checked to apply the tax rules.
VAT should be listed separately in the final prices (both front end and back office).
So, for example, admin will set tax rules of (this is very simplified - the tax rules will be dependent on more than just country):
EU country - 20% VAT
Non EU - No VAT
And an event with the following info:
Main ticket - £200 - tax rules apply
Extra Dinner with booking - £50 - no tax
If the customer selects the box that they are an EU country the system will calculate:
Main ticket - £200 + £40 VAT
Extra dinner - £50
Please provide full details of your experience working with Wordpress Plugins and bespoke customisation with your proposal, and time frames of development.
I will give you access to the site on a development server for this work for testing purposes and we can transfer the work once we are happy with the functionality.
