Lottery Results need extracting from a website to a mySQL DB
The website at http://www.49s.co.uk/49s/ shows current and past results (numbers).
I need two scripts writing (basically only one with any real coding time, the second is going to be a slight amendement of the first) that extracts/scrapes the lottery results from the website and puts them into a local mySQL DB.
Script 1 – All Past Results (http://www.49s.co.uk/49s/previous)
Script 2 – Current Results (i.e. todays results at http://www.49s.co.uk/49s)
Script 1 should do all 12 months from the first year (1996) through to the current year (whatever year we are in when the script is run). The scrape engine needs to work its way automatically through every date on the site collecting the data.
Script 2 is just todays results. This can be grabbed from the 49s home page.
The code needs to be written in PHP and should be clean and formatted with basic comments where necessary (such as what each function is for, what a loop is doing etc) so that it can be modified by someone in the future for minor changes.
As they are scripts, they do not need to output anything. But for debugging, it could be useful to post to the screen each line of data that’s extracted and inserted into the DB.
Description of requirements/features: The mysql database table should be :-
Dbid, date_of_draw, num1, num2, num3, num4, num5, num6, num7, date_added
This is a very simple job and as such I am expecting very cheap quotations.
