Description
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Num. of web pages/modules: 3 blank pages.
Description of every page/module: I have a simple PHP project to complete but due to unforeseen circumstances, I will not be able to complete this project myself.
The project outcome is as follows:
A simple registration and login management system using PHP that uses PHP sessions, validation functions and html forms.
User visits index page, can either login (if already registered) or register and then log in. 2 pages, index and one another page (to be blank) are publicly viewable, and one page is private and only accessible to registered users.
I expect the usual basic validations to be performed on the registration form and login forms.
Registration form only has 4 required fields - full name, email address, username, and password.
importantly, data is to be stored in a simple text file instead of MySQL database.
This is basic PHP
Description of requirements/features: Registration form with 4 required fields i.e. full name, email, username and password.
Login form.
Text file to store user data. (No MySQL)
3 pages - index, public page, and private page.
No CSS or formatting required.

PHP session management.

Hi,
Available for discussion?
Yuvraj! -
I was thinking the same as the other questioner - why a text file not a Database? I would have thought it would run quicker with a Database. Is the reason why you want a a Text file?
Simba M.02 Aug 2016MySQL would be better but the project is meant to demonstrate ability to open, read and write into a file using PHP.

Hello Simba,
It is easy to create registration/login in php but I did not get the reason behined putting registration data into text file.
May I know the reason behind storing data into text file?
Thanks
