We have a PHP application built in PHP 5.6 which we need to modernize. The application is mostly legacy spaghetti code with no classes etc. The application is very broad but not very deep so there is nothing inherently complicated but there is just a lot of it!

The definition of modernize is open to interpretation but current thought process is something like Laravel backend with React front end using an SPA.

We need someone to help our in hour development team with the journey based on previous experience - you should be able to code but this is not a coding job. This is part project management, part architect as well. We anticipate outsourcing a lot of the manual aspects of the refactoring to an overseas team - yet to be decided and yet to be hired but this is also something you will ultimately manage.

You should be prepared to travel to our offices in Birmingham as required but at least weekly however this is not necessarily an office based role - that said, it would not be suited to someone looking a few hours a week. It could be anything from a few days a week to full time.

If you have done something like this before, get in touch and lets arrange a meeting.

Rate below is indicative as I have no idea how long this project will actually take.

    Hi Jason,

We are based out of India and no chance for us to meet in person directly but we can work remotely and do video calling for weekly review meetings and update. We have laravel developers to work fulltime long-term business role.

Could you please let me know your feedback
