Hi,
I need some work doing to an API. We have built in a cache solution for the api with a max age of 60 seconds but the response still takes 50 - 200ms. We would like to return the original cached data at the very top of the API request and prevent the rest of the code running. We need an instant response on the second, third, fourth time within a 60 second time frame.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers

Depends what caching system you have gone with. And also can you be 100% you are hitting the cache. Depending on your solution, worst case you could set up a new server with a lightweight framework that proxied all requests to your API, but responded with cached versions of the problematic endpoint. At least then you'd separate your API caching, and make it easier to scale if you're having load issues.

Have you considered using Redis Cache?
