Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
General information for the website: Business directory website
Description of every page/module: google places api script
facebook graph api script
website crawler
Description of requirements/features: We have a requirement for an address details/contact verification script which utilises the google places and facebook graph apis, the features we require:
1. Script would have access to a database of UK business names, address, telephone and postcode data in addition to website details for approx 55% of db entries in any format required
2. Query google api for address details and verification of accuracy, return opening hours if available and website if provided by the api - https://developers.google.com/places/documentation/ + you can see this api in action at https://moz.com/local/bulk/managed/verified if you click add listing and type in 'mad hatter saloon' using zip code 10101
3. Extract any social media links to twitter, facebook, google+ or linkedin from a crawl of the website, if any business has social profiles they are almost always linked on home page so no need to crawl deeper than this to gain the social profile links
4. Query Facebook graph (if fb link found) for opening hours and any additional information, example being https://www.facebook.com/thehandmadepieandalehouse/info or https://www.facebook.com/pages/Designvent-Ltd/297187497041835?sk=info
5. Crawl the websites contact details page and return any detected contact numbers and address info
6. Return all of the info into a holding database which we can then use in our editing consoles
CMS and Admin requirements: All db provision and support would be provided by us
