Description
Experience Level: Expert
Due to constantly changing Joomla and heavy structure after many years of struggles we have decided to stop using Joomla for our directory website and change it to something faster and more lightweight website engine. It's been recommended to us to consider Laravel.
A Hungarian website developer started to convert our existing Joomla website more than a year ago but due to other contracts he lacks of time to complete it.
Time passes and newer and newer PHP versions have come out. As many Joomla components are no longer supported that we used back in time with Joomla we are just simply unable to upgrade our Joomla and its components to the newest versions.
Our main problem with Joomla that made us to divorce from them are:
*Heavy and slow
*We needed to use several third party components that are no longer supported with the time
*Third party component developers provide very little or zero support
*We are locked in the capabilities of components and we cannot add our additional needs/requirements
All these above must be resolved in Laravel so keep in mind that this is not just a simply conversion/migration.
What we expect to get once the project got finished:
*Optimized, fast page load (Partially done)
*Mobile optimized, responsive design (Partially done)
*85% Mobile pagespeed insight score, above 90% Desktop score (for Home page and Listing’s detailed view) (no tricks excluding script to increase/fake pagespeed score test!) (Unfinished)
*Frontend design (Done)
(Anyone is willing to change the current template design to a valid AMP version is a big plus! We would provide some ideas regarding AMP design so it is not like you just create your own design ideas and we must accept it.)
*No warnings and errors in Firebug
*Migrate all our listings, categories and users + valid memberships from Joomla to Laravel.
*Migrate FAQ and News Joomla content to Laravel ("News" will become "Blog" section in Laravel) (Unfinished)
*Integrate Stripe payment (Unfinished)
*Make the website multilingual. (Partially done)
*Make the website work with Redis cache (Unfinished)
*Add frontend translation capabilities to some users (Unfinished)
*Add translatable AdBlock detection warning (display a translatable html (FAQ) content that block the content)
*Add BBclone webstat to header
*Update to latest Laravel version
*Email notifications for actions
*Continue migration and development on PHP 7.2 (currently the half-finished migration site works on older PHP 7.1)
*Create some sort of “config.ini” file for settings.

This partially finished/migrated website can be seen here:
http://uj.vinnumber.info
Website that has to be migrated from: https://www.vinnumber.info
The new Laravel site is about 50% done. Many things are unfinished or haven't even been touched. We want to put an end of this migration and find someone who can complete the migration in short time and have good communication skills. We would keep in touch on daily basis on Skype.
Components that we currently use on the old Joomla site and their data fully or partially have to be migrated to Laravel:
* SobiPro
* AlphauserPoints
* AkeeBa Subscription
* Users
* Content
* Translated content (from Joomla content and SobiPro)
* Some Joomla modules
I've attached a detailed PDF description of the project that your give you a really good understanding of the tasks. Please read carefully the whole documentation BEFORE you place your bid. Anyone placing a bid without reading my 54 pages PDF will not be considered. Take your time and read it.
