Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are currently building a Flash website for a client. The website pulls the website content from an XML file.
This content includes images and text for an online image gallery.
The website has been built in Flash using Actionscript 2 and works perfectly. However! The client now wishes to be able to integrate PayPal and/or Google Checkout with their gallery to sell products, and as this is now pushing our expertise we need some programming help.
We need someone who can take the existing Flash website and the XML file, and get PayPal \'add to cart\' functionality working within the existing XML structure, preserving the existing hierarchy where possible so that the client doesn\'t need to learn a new way of editing her website content.
This needs to be done in a very user-friendly way because currently we have her pasting in strings of HTML code (supplied by PayPal), and adding in the href tags, the wording, the PayPal button... all in HTML rendered in Flash... It\'s far too complex for the client and must be simplified drastically as she will be adding new PayPal items and accounts for other \'sellers\' through her website.
Therefore you will need expertise in Actionscript 2 (or 3 if you want to start from scratch). The XML file won\'t need any amending as we will do that in-house and supply this with the Flash FLA to the winning bidder.
I hope this all makes sense, and any questions at all, please do ask.
