Hello!
I have tried to do this myself and can not seem to do it...
I have attempted to create my own 'plugin' on Wordpress which creates a 'Members Zone' on my website.
I had it working before that it displayed a 'Members Zone' button in the Wordpress Dashboard where I was able to create a new 'Guideline' and select a particular 'subject' taxonomy.
This links to an archive page which displays any new 'Guideline' (Custom Post Type) and puts them in a list on the left, and the 'Subject' (Custom Taxonomy) titles along the top. Please see the attached image for what I want to achieve.
I want the Content Area to update with AJAX when any of the 'Guideline' list is selected. I want the Parents and the Child 'Guideline' names to be clearly different.
I want a working AJAX 'Search' box in the top corner to work this way, also.
I need to 'pin' the description of the 'Guideline' to the top when it is clicked (for example, the description for Health when the Health 'Guideline' is selected with the rest of the content below it), and I need all of the 'Subject' titles to appear in the top and be name anchors to scroll down to the content below.
I have already populated a few 'Subjects' and 'Guidelines' but none of them show.
I have attached an image of what I am trying to achieve which I have put together in HTML and CSS, and the files I have been working on. You will find the 'plugin' I created and the 'archive-guideline.php' file that I placed in the root folder of my child theme attached also.
I hope this is clear enough!
Please let me know how long this may take you. I really hope you are able to help me on this. :)
