Create a program in Python to compare the spectral occupation of the transmission of information:
using a "classical" ASK modulation
using OFDM modulation and the same constellation as for modulation
classical
1. Create a large bitstream (several hundred bits)
2. Transform this bit stream into a series of ASK symbols (4, 8, 16 or 64)
3. Format the symbol stream by choosing a formatting filter whose you will specify the criteria of choice
Then on the one hand:
4. Transmit this flux on the carrier frequency (Fp) of your choice
5. Calculate and represent the resulting spectral occupancy
6. Interpret / comment the result obtained
And on the other hand :
7. Distribute these symbols in N parallel flows (N = 6 for example)
8. Transmit these symbols on the N sub-carriers, whose spacing is to be defined depending on the bit rate and the modulation chosen, around Fp
9. Calculate and represent the resulting spectral occupancy
10. Interpret / comment on the result obtained
Finally, compare and comment on these two spectral occupations, as well as
performances in the presence of noise (whose characteristics will be specified) according to
the selected ASK modulation.
