Description
Experience Level: Expert
Who we are: We are a large college in oxford.
What we are looking for: We are looking for a freelance advanced Sitecore developer or Sitecore Partner with a skill set that includes all the programme languages associated with Sitecore, some of which are listed below:
• C#
• C++
• ASP.NetXML
• JavaScript
• MySQL
• JQuery
• Action Script (for Flash add ons)
• And any other associated program languages
We are currently running Sitecore.NET 6.2.0 (rev. 100507). We require a Developer who can access the backend externally and are contactable at any time that we require changes, updates or functionality add-on’s to the site. The tasks will range from small changes to designing new templates all with a quick but efficient turnaround.
If you are commissioned to work with us you will have to be able to work remotely and be able to come and meet us initially to talk through our requirements.
One such scenario is to add an extra functionality to our website. Please provide a quotation as well as a projected turnaround time from design to completion:
Task Name: To design and develop a Gallery Function similar to the gallery listed below:
Brief: The image gallery should have the scrolling thumbnails function like at the bottom of the Flowplayer site,
1) http://flowplayer.org/tools/demos/scrollable/gallery.html
However it has to have exactly the same functionality (thumbnail rollover effects and transitions on the main displayed image) as on this site:
2) http://www.twospy.com/galleriffic/example-2.html
• To have the ability for the main window to display both portrait and landscape images with the smooth transition effect that is displayed in link 2.
• The maximum width of the embedded gallery needs to be 500px.
• We have included a mock up of what we expect it to look like. Please see attachment.
• Thumbnail size should be a max of 100x75px and should be scaled proportionally to the full size image of 500x375px
• The thumbnails need to be able to scroll along the bottom by clicking on the back and forward buttons.
• Before you roll over the thumbnails they must have a 75% transparency and when you roll over the thumbnails it has 100% transparency, which then automatically displays the full size image in the main window.
• If the user does not use the forward and back arrows the thumbnails should automatically scroll along the bottom every 10 seconds until they are selected.
• The image gallery function should be designed so that it can be added as a rendering parameter on any page of our website
• In order to populate the gallery we need gallery folders created in the media library. We would upload images specific to a particular gallery into a folder and you would be able to select that folder as the data source for the gallery rendering when adding it to a page.
