By Design I mean the UI, UX, animations, layout, interactions and themes. No need for busines layers, workflows, DAL, WCF ect.
I want to follow the look n feel of outlook 2010 to provide familiarity when using the app. I\'m not expecting any specific / unusual controls needed to be developed, unless we can\'t achived the desired UX/functionality, but the aim is simple/clean.... Business like, but modern and extensible (when it is simple to do so).
My hope it that all this can be achieved through silverlight generic styling, and themes (and make use of the telerik controls such as the ribbon and datagrid, and those within the Silverlight 4 toolkit)
I have expressed the need for several logo\'s as a follow on project, but this does not form part of this tender.
I essentially want a template using the best UI/UX practices which I can then implement the many screens (which all essentially from a UI point of view, look/act the same). I am keen to receive XAML which is well laid out, and elegant, taking advantage of binding, fluid layouts, not hacked together, so appreciation for Prism/MVVM is good but not essential.
I don’t want to re-invent the wheel, so I have chosen outlook 2010 as the canvas on which to model the desired look and feel, and Telerik controls for the more complex parts (datagrids/ribbons). I’m after a familiar, clean, business like, functional UI, with maximum use of screen space, with a few tiny extras.
The bulk of the UI is only really 1 screen, with a few modules which demonstrate the desired fucntionality.
# Custom Loading screen (Such as found in the Silverlight 4 Toolkit)
# Sign-in screen
# Container Page for Main Panel, Navigation and Footer
# Main Panel container for DataGrid Panel, View Panel and Side Panel
# A sample Navigation control using the Telerik Ribbon. With the ability to load # A Grid control, Change layout, raise add new event, Raise a predefined Error, Raise a predefined Message, Maximise / Minimise Navigation and Logout.
# A sample Footer Control (Information about application, version, environment and signed in user)
# A Sample DataGrid Control (with search & title controls) using a Telerik Datagrid
# 2 Sample View Panels Controls of different default Heights/Widths. 1 View, 1 Editable.
# Side Panel with 3 Embedded controls which show different information in both minimised and maximised state.
# Drag n’ Drop capability between DataGrid à Side Panel Drop Control and Side Panel Drop Control à [Remove section].
# Ability to Force an Error [button in Ribbon] and display the error in [Main Panel]. This need to be an error which is caught, not a method call. Close button to hide error
# Ability to show a Message, at same time as error message, and on own. # Close button to hide message.
# Layout’s saved to user profile
# Animations when loading the View/Edit Controls
