We require development of our intranet using SharePoint 2010 to have the following requirments.
Document Library.
1. Must be able to store 1000’s of documents.
2. When storing a document they must be stored under a number of categories (Area – Stage – Section – Level,)
3. When a document is added to SharePoint a number of people from the address book in outlook can be selected and these people will be associated with this document. They will all be emailed with the document details informing them that the document has been added.
4. Searching, for a document can be in the following 3 ways
• Search on name of the document
• Search in the text of the document (as per “A word or phrase search” in Microsoft explorer)
• A category search, e.g. all documents in category 1, category 2 etc.
• Any combination of the above
5. Changes made to documents must be tracked and when changes are made the people associated with this document must be emailed to inform them of these changes
Blogs
Blogs will be set up and people will be associated with these blogs. When changes are made to this blog the people associated will be emailed.
Calendar
A shared calendar for all the people in the office has to be set up and stored on the desktop of every person in the office so they will be aware of what is happening.
