Description
Experience Level: Expert
History:
In 2009 we built a Flash/MDM Zinc based CD application for viewing a pre-filmed presentation and the associated slideshow.
The slideshow was split into images and created as a separate swf. The video had embedded timecodes that switched the framelabels of the slideshow as the video played -- this was achieved using Adobe Media Encoder with the time codes being embedded from an XML file (attached).
Users could skip through sections, play, pause and stop. This presentation/video was separated into two chapters (the yellow buttons below the video in the attached screengrab).
Brief:
We need to add a home-screen that will link to two separate sections. Those sections will have sub-navigation -- effectively to take the user to several video/presentations. Please see the attached PDF.
What we need to achieve:
1- Completely re-skin the project with a new design
2- Add a menu screen linking to the two new sections
3- Add a global navigation bar for the homepage and the two sections
4- Add a sub-navigation page to each of the two sections
5- Add video page navigation to skip back/forward through the sections (saves going back to the sub-nav page)
6- Allow several (eight?) videos and slideshows to be loaded (current system has just one, hardcoded link)
7- Add preloading to the display items (it will be delivered on CD using MDM Zinc BUT must work online too)
8- Add simple animation to the interface (slide things in/out -- we'll show you what we want to happen)
Deadline:
The deadline is carved out of solid rock on this project. It must be ready to be delivered to the client by the END OF JUNE.
It is estimated that this project will take five days to complete and can be STARTED ON THE 19th OF JUNE (subject to client approval of the design).
Attached:
1- A screengrab of the original interface
2- The current AS3 file that runs the interface
3- An interface linkage diagram
