Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
1) Go to http://161.58.72.79/researchdb.php.
2) On initial page load, the Add, Edit, and Delete buttons on researchdb.php should be hidden and disabled, and another button “Admin Login” should be displayed. The “Admin Login” button can be displayed where the Add/Edit/Delete buttons are currently shown, or just below them.
3) When the user clicks the Admin Login button they should be redirected to the “login.php” page. When the user attempts to login, the db_connect.php script queries the database table “authenticate” to authenticate the user. If unsuccessful, it displays an error message.
4) If the user is successfully authenticated, they should be redirected back to researchdb.php page. The page should now display the Add, Edit, Delete buttons, and the Admin Login button should now say “Admin Logout”. The Add/Edit/Delete buttons are already functional and nothing needs to be done for them.
5) When the user clicks Admin Logout, the Add/Edit/Delete buttons should be hidden and disabled again, and the Admin Logout button should say Admin Login again.
6) We would like to have the job finished by March 19, if possible.
7) The website source code is developed in Dreamweaver CS5. The current source code for this task is in “researchdb.php”, “login.php”, and “db_connect.php” on the webserver. We prefer that you modify the existing source code
