MySpace Game / Application

We need coding for a MySpace game • this game will be modeled after Mafia Wars and Bulletproof. To understand the scope of this project and get a clear picture of gameplay, I highly suggest that you take 5 minutes to look over the games and see if this is an achievable goal. Please do not reply to this unless you have taken the time to look at our needs and do not send scripted responses. The game is a “fighting” type game. The basic layout will be almost identical to Mafia Wars, though obviously, names and actions would be changed.

Home Page will display menu options and character attributes. As certain attributes regenerate at designated time intervals, timers would be needed under those attributes to designate refill times.
Characters will all be from MySpace userbase through the use of “invites”. I believe the code is generated through OpenSocial. We will also have random Bots programmed into the game to do certain things at certain times. Characters will have certain attributes that will be used to determine success in battles, performing jobs, etc. These include Attack Strength, Defense, Stamina, and others. Simple compares of the characters will be used to determine winners in a battle. Certain attributes will be checked in order to perform other functions within the game. Other character attributes can be discussed in detail later.

A Fight List will be used to determine targets. Game must be programmed to show characters of the same level or range. The list would ideally list 50 players of the same level/range.

There will be a “Hitlist” where people can place bounties on another players head. This player will be added to the list and the general public can attack said player. Stipulations will be put on the operation of this and will be discussed in detail.

Player advance through levels by gaining experience points. Experience points are mainly accumulated through winning battle, either by direct battles or victories on the hitlist. Monies are also taken from players when winning a battle.

All characters have the ability to equip themselves with weapons and armor type items. These items add “points” to their character attributes in terms of attack and defense.

Characters purchase items though returns on properties. A Properties menu would be needed to purchase said items.

The game will incorporate a “rewards system” much like SRPoints • where a player can purchase, with real money, “points” to use in the game. This is done through an IFrame, though the incorporation into the game will need to be accomplished.

The majority of the graphics and terminology will be provided by us. This game will require a period in which to address bugs/glitches. Also, we will require very small updates for the first couple of months, or until we have learned how to incorporate them ourselves. These will just be minor additions to the game/changes to existing items.

There will be Top Player Lists and other “extras” that can be discussed should we contract your service.

This game will operate much in the same manner as the two mentioned games, except we will be “tweaking” some of the problems that we have found with these two games. As noted before, all canned responses will be discarded. We are serious about this project and would expect that prospective coders are as well.
