Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
Know some Python, Javascript & HTML/CCS? Fancy the start-up life? Then Websand wants to hear from you.
We’re building a data analytics platform as a direct email marketing automation system. We’re an early stage business but have a wealth of experience. We hail from a 15 year background in building and running Loyalty Programmes throughout the middle east for big brands such as Visa, Porsche, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Jumeirah Group to name a few.
We’re currently looking to expand the team and seek a motivated developer with some good experience of building web apps (in any language) and knowledge of Javascript to join our small team.
All the usual job things apply;
You need to be able to communicate in more than a series of nods and grunts;
The ability to figure out what you think is the best approach to a problem and then get on with it without needing someone to hold your hand through the process;
A knack and a passion for building amazing stuff that ‘just works’ for the user;
You don’t run in terror from Linux and the command line;
It’ll be useful if you’ve built a few things that we can see.
You’ll have a few questions. Here’s the lowdown on us;
We’re a funded start-up business based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Ideally you’ll be based in Newcastle, at least in the short/medium term, and work from our office. We get remote working, we love it, but it won’t work until we know you. Our office is the Ignite Loft, so you’ll be working alongside loads of amazing start-ups and you’ll no doubt want to be here anyway.
Our front-end code is currently simple HTML+CSS (Bootstrap 3) – but moving to AngularJS with HTML5 and CSS3. Our backend is Python/Django but we’re slowly going to migrate to Pyramid.
