Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I have a directory which contains PDF, TXT, RTF, DOC and DOCX files which I need to be able to index and then search via a simple web interface with results returned akin to Google with an option to sort by relevance, date and filesize.
The results should show the filename (which will be pulled from a database as the uploaded filename are changed) as well as the date, size and highlighted relevant context hit. Clicking on the link should open the file.
The index needs to be able to be updated frequently on a schedule via something like cron as well as manually if required.
I don't mind what index engine is used be it Lucene, Solr, Sphinx, Xapian or any other and no real preference if solution uses flat files or database.
