Description

Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: Daily News Magazine
Description of requirements/features: My Google PageSpeed Insight (70/100) and GTMetrix (3.9 seconds) have to be improved. My site runs on a dedicated server.
Server details:
- HP ProLiant DL120 Gen9
- Intel Xeon E5-2620v3, 6 Cores
- 32 GB DDR4 RAM
- 2x 256GB SSD drives
- 1 Gbit/s port

Centos 6.0 and cPanel are installed. There is no server caching (NGINX) installed. Also no use of a CDN.

According to GTMetrix (https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.ifreepress.com/2Pzxac9D) the biggest bottleneck is the 1.2 seconds server waiting time (Time To First Byte. See Waterfall tab). The "Time To First Byte" issue can be caused by several things (https://varvy.com/pagespeed/ttfb.html)

My WordPress site makes use of the HyperCache plugin.

My site is a daily news website. We have around 12,500 articles published, and on daily base we add 100-150 new articles.

I am looking for someone who is able to optimize my current server and WordPress, or give me the recommendation to switch to for example VPS SSD hosting at Linode or DigitalOcean.

Please sent me your proposal only if you have enough experience related to server setup and tweaking.
