Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Growing company based in Central/SW London is looking for an innovative, entrepreneurial GIS geospatial analyst to join the company on a p/t (possibly f/t) basis following a temporary trial period. The individual will be involved in existing (management consultancy) project work while looking to use the software/licenses to expand the GIS elements of the growing business (focus on organisational business development) - on an incremental reward basis.
The successful candidate must be proficient in data and statistical modelling, spatial analysis, market intelligence, and graphically displaying contextual information. We require a proven specialist in working with GIS software, spatial data mapping, site conceptual modelling, along with a variety of advanced software and IT skills, including working extensively with MapInfo Professional, Drivetime software, GBPro road network and other base mapping (must be up to date with industry resources and developments). A high level of Microsoft Excel knowledge is also required. GIS analysis will focus on catchment/ demographic analysis and site and open space digitalisation (with the ability to produce and manipulate user friendly outputs).
A minimum of two years experience will be deemed favourable. Particularly where a track record can be proven that includes work with the public and private sector (facilitated infrastructure developments and improvements, new market entry, and business expansion analysis ideally).
The potential for a f/t position would combine GIS analysis with research consultancy (market analysis, research, report writing, data analysis). Therefore excellent levels of communication and written English will be required. Must also be able to commute to London on an adhoc ongoing basis - work will be split between the office and home.
Please provide a brief cover note outlining how your skills, qualifications and experience meet the above requirements as well as CV.
