Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
* Rolling animation for website specification
* Demand five as an example of the type of movement required for example... http://demand.five.tv/Home.aspx
* The rotation of the carousel will go both ways (left and right), which will be randomised, and the number of image panes the carousel spins past and lands on will also be randomised (refer to SWF file included). However there must be an upper limit eg 10 for the randomisation.
* The carousel should start from a random place in the DB table.
* The DB maybe ordered by a field other than ID or date created the script should be able to set the index field.
* When Image panes are in forefront they are big, when in the fore ground they get gradually smaller...this created a 3D effect that they are on a carousel.
* No limit for amount of image panes on carousel (demand five only have 5 or 6), maybe link it to a database so that image panes can be added or removed at any time with ease.
* Make each image pane bright and vibrant, different looking slide for each.
* To go with the rest of the site use round edge boxes and the colour scheme. The background colour should be parameterised.
* Image panes can hold images (pictures) and videos, which will all be linkable.
* If the user clicks on a pane then that pane will come to the front & perform the default action. EG if a video it will start to play. The carousel will not recommence spinning once it's been clicked.
* Once the carousel stops if the image pane contains a video the whole video will play out before continuing to rotate, and if it contains a image the rotation will stop for a maximum of 10 seconds before continuing to rotate.
* Each pane will have a URL associated with it, if the pane is a picture & has been stationary for more than 1 second then clicking the pane will fire up the URL in a separate window.
* You should avoid addressing any associated files (images & videos) by an absolute path.
Note : Some of these videos will be embedded from other sites eg YouTube.
